Mother’s Day is Everyday

Mother’s Day is EVERYDAY.

When I was a child, my mother often ate in her room w/ her door closed, separate from me & my sister eating at the table. One night, I heard noise in my moms room & when I went in, I saw my mother laying on her bed, exhaling deep breaths in exhaustion after a long day teaching kindergarten, holding her stomach. That was the moment I realized my mother seldom ate dinner, she’d go w/o food just so my sister & I could have enough food to eat.

My mother constantly sacrificed buying herself expensive clothes, jewelry & trips to give us food every night. She kept a smile on her face at all times, so we wouldn’t know how cash poor we really were. From that day on I taught myself how to cook &

I made sure my mother ate everyday. I promised myself I would do something with my life, so my mother would never have to over sacrifice just to pay bills. That is what fuels me. That is why I work 3 jobs, cooking all day. That is why I don’t complain about life, I just keep a smile on my face like my mother always does.

My mother showed me the true strength of a woman, that is why I respect good strong-minded women so much.

That is why I always speak to large groups of men weekly, teaching them the importance of not trying to change a strong, outspoken woman, but to understand a woman.

That is why for the past 10 years, I have done youth mentoring to hundreds of young Black & Latino boys, teaching them how to speak life into a woman & taking them on HBCU college tours all over the country. I may have money & success now, but I came from not having anything and it is because of that, & what my mother did for me I am the man I am today & I value understanding a woman and respecting a woman’s worth.

I was raised my a queen, so I know how to value one. To me women are not “bitches”, women are not “hoes who ain’t loyal”, women are NOT “only good for using her body for money”. GENUINE women are QUEENS & deserve to be treated as such. If we make a woman a MOTHER we have to respect her, stop calling the mother of your children a crazybitch, you bring shame to your OWN mother by disrespecting the mother of your children young kings.

I will dedicate the rest of my life to giving my mother the level of respect she deserves by respecting her, & all genuine women, & teaching every man I meet that we as MEN were put on earth to SPEAK LIFE into a woman, because every man was created by a mother & every woman is someone’s mother or sister & they all deserve respect.

Happy MOTHER’s Day
Never rely on a man made holiday to show love to your loved ones, mother’s day is everyday. I’m cooking my mommy pancake brunch.

I will be Speaking Life in Texas next weekend, let me know if you want me to speak at your school or organization?
