I think my rebuttal to this is: yes, certain words like this may turn off a man/woman, but if you truly feel you do not possess those things, wouldn’t you show so? Wouldn’t you present yourself to say, look, I am not like “most men/women” and this is how I plan to show you.
Hi Ebrahim,
I was beginning to question myself about whether something was wrong with who I am as a woman. I came across one of your blogs, after it was re-posted on Facebook, and after realizing you were on WordPress decided to follow. Many of the things you speak about are experiences I have had. I can’t begin to tell you about the names I have been called or things said to be, just because I have certain standards and am very vocal, refusing to dumb-down or be subservient or stroke egos on a daily. I have wonderful parents, and know what I want in man. This has been influenced by the kind of woman my mother is and the kind of man my father is. Respect and love has always been bond for their friendship, and marriage. Thank you for letting me know that nothing is wrong at all. I hope one day I find my King. Continue empowering women.
