After video released today shows he lied, a University of Cincinnati police officer was indicted Wednesday on a charge of murder for fatally shooting an unarmed black man during a traffic stop earlier this month.
Police have killed 558 people this year. All cops are NOT bad, but the rogue cops who are DESEVE to be charged for their crimes. #SamDubose
It was so unnecessary for this to occur,” Joe Deters, the Hamilton County prosecutor, said at a news conference Wednesday.
Samuel Dubose, 43, was shot and killed during a July 19 traffic stop by Officer Ray Tensing. The 25-year-old officer initially said he had been dragged by the car before shooting, Deters said that the officer was not dragged.
“This office has probably reviewed upwards of hundreds of police shootings, and this is the first time that we’ve thought this is without question a murder,” he said.
Deters seemed emotional during his news conference, repeatedly referring to the shooting as a murder, saying, “if Dubose began to leave, the officer should have just let him go rather than shoot him in the head.”!Tensing was also charged with voluntary manslaughter and faces up to life in prison if convicted.
“I’m treating him like a murderer,” Deters said, adding that an arrest warrant was issued for Tensing on Wednesday.
“Could you imagine the outrage you would have if this was your kid, if this was your brother, over a stop like this?” Deters said. “And he didn’t do anything violent towards the officer. He wasn’t dragging him. And he pulled out his gun and intentionally shot him in the head.”
Audrey Dubose, mother of the slain driver, said she knew and prayed that the truth about her son’s death would be revealed.
“I’m so thankful that everything was uncovered,” she said at a news conference, repeatedly citing her faith and thanking God.
She said she could forgive Tensing if he asked for forgiveness. Calling her son a righteous, joyful man, Dubose said she thought the officer should have been “locked up on day one” and said she wondered why he was walking the streets in the days since the shooting.
“I thought it was going to be covered up,” she said. “I heard many stories and everything. But…I trust God, and I knew everything was going to be alright.”
An attorney for Dubose’s family said Wednesday that his relatives did not want a violent or aggressive response to the news of the indictment.
“We want those reactions to be completely peaceful,” Mark O’Mara said at a news conference. “Sam was a peaceful person….We do not want any violence, any anger to come out in a way that denigrates who he was and who he wanted to be remembered as.”

I have friends who are in same-sex relationships and I feel love has no sexual orientation. Love has no religious belief. I keep my personal life very much to myself. I want everybody to focus on my music. I also don’t want to let anybody down. I want women to still be attracted to me. I want men to still be attracted to me so I have to be political in this. So I can’t really tell y’all!” Janelle Monae.
It’s funny how a lot of y’all condemning people for sleeping with someone of the same gender go home every night to sleep with a person who you know has raped women & molested children. You say you only date trap thugs, who ironically have had more down low sex in prison than he’s had straight sex with you. Maybe you should spend less time ripping LGBT members for their sins, & more time ripping open a condom, because you might have already caught something.
Sympathy is poisonous. Any LGBT supporter who can’t both empathetically support a LGBT person while simultaneously offering constructive criticism to them doesn’t respect or love them. They are using their cause to push their own agenda.
LGBT people are not above reproach. Their flaws should not be excused. However, you are not a LGBT member’s judge. Period. Their maker is their only judge.

He wanted me to go to that cabin and get ambushed, so your brother Austin could come here and finish you off. I did what India would’ve wanted me to do. I fought for the person she loves more than her self, you. But I know with every fiber of my being India will fight, claw and push herself out of harm’s way and back into my arms. I know this, because I instill her with love, confidence and undeniable baddassness.
India is a solider. She’s my solder.”
“I want to be your solder too,” Rosaria confessed to him. Anthony put his gun in his shoulder holster, walked over to Rosaria, grabbed her shivering body and lifted her up in his arms, until the were both at eye level.
“When I look at you,” Anthony confessed to Rosaria, “I don’t just see a beautiful dark-skinned woman with curves for days & hair for weeks, I see the love of my life, I see my future wife, I see your sister India. So no, you can’t be mine. My heart belongs to India and I’m loyal to your sister.”
“Of course you see my sister when you look at me, we’re twins,” Rosaria joked, “but make no mistake: when I say I want to ‘be your solider’, I don’t mean it in some sexually submissive way.
I love how you trust my sister & can depend on her to go out on a mission & defend a cause you believe in. I want to have that too. To live for something greater than myself. I want you to trust me. Have confidence in me. I want you to be for me what I never had, a big brother.
Rosaria’s brother Austin begin coughing up blood. Rosaria pick up the vase off the night table & smashed it over her brother’s head, until his consciousness faded to black.
It was pitch black, except for the light from the fire India had just started to free herself from the grasp of her mother’s hired henchman. Even though she was just now running for governor, India’s mother Gloria had police officer on her pay roll for the longest. Prominence is power & money talks. But with the flick of a match, India caused her mother’s flawless plan to go up in flames. As she limped her way to her mother’s car, flirting with the option of escaping, a guilty fueled question came over her.
Should I flee to safety? or search for my mother’s body?
Despite all the cold, manipulative things her mother put her & her sister Rosaria through, she stilled love her. She couldn’t help it. The only reason an affectionate giver doesn’t do people the same cold way others do them is, because their integrity won’t allow them to. India limped back towards the burning cabin in search for her mother’s body like a sergeant searching for the body of his fellow fallen solider in combat.

“Ok, you want to be my solider?” Anthony asked Rosaria.
“Yes sir,” Rosaria saluted.
“First off, don’t salute me,” Anthony pleaded, “that shit gets annoying after a while. Now, what I need you to do is drag your brother’s body closer to the door while I move the shells. We need to set the scene so it can be obvious to the detectives who show up that Austin shot this female officer lying in the middle of the hotel room, and not you.”
“I got you,” Rosaria complied.
“Now how good of a screamer are you?”

India searched the perimeter of the cabin, along with the entrance & the garden out back. Surprisingly, she couldn’t find her mother’s body anywhere. Their were only two possibilities. Her mother had burned to a crisp in the fire, or she was hiding from her daughter, waiting for the right moment to attack.

“I’ve been attacked, abused & sexually assaulted most of my pre-teen-hood,” Rosaria confessed. “Needless to say, I have a ton of experience screaming.”
“You know, I’m so sorry you had to go through all that,” Anthony empathized.
“It’s ok,” Rosaria replied, somberly,” you obviously choose the right twin.”
“Don’t speak that way about yourself,” Anthony corrected, “you aren’t some damaged goods just, because your sick, demented male relative touched you when you were too young to defend yourself. You are beautiful. You are enough, and any man would be honored to have you.”
“I really wish my exs thought the way you did,” Rosaria explained. “Who I am has always been a problem to men. When opening up to reveal your vulnerabilities is always seen as a deal breaker, it makes you want to stay guarded up with so many walls. And it’s not that you feel like you missed out on something you know?
What’s hardest for a woman isn’t losing him. It’s forgiving her SELF for falling in love with his potential, knowing damn well she saw warning signs.
My trust issues don’t come from the cold way my EXs treated me. my trust issues come from my poor judgement. I’m at war with my own self. I was such a good judge of character before I let my guard down for the wrong one. Now, I’m afraid to trust myself again to judge rather to let the right one in.”
“Queen, allow me to reassure you,” Anthony told his girlfriend’s twin sister,
“you are not at war with your self. You are at war with the emptiness your EX left when they came in your life to rub their hurt on you. You sold your soul to your EX by giving them your all after they devalued you. That’s why you feel so empty & incomplete where a soul once was. Reclaim your worth! Give birth to self-love & self acceptance.
You have to forgive yourself for loving a person who never deserved you. You made a mistake. But the mistake was not choosing to love or letting your wall down to be loyal. Your mistake was not loving you before you love another. Your mistake was being more loyal to a person’s inconsistency than you are to your own damn standards.”
“Wow,” Rosaria confessed,” you know, I’m usually the one every person comes to for advice. Including your woman haha. You really just shut me up & left me speechless which is rare. I guess India really can pi….”
Suddenly the hotel door swung open. Burning flesh filled the room. Her shadow looming over Rosaria & Anthony, who appeared to be hugged up and too close for comfort. After slamming the door shut, the person begin to laugh historically.
“Finally,” Anthony yelled, “I’ve been waiting for you to show up.”

I’m so tired of these mixed, biracial & lie-racial women having the audacity to be labeled by others as “half Black” Ha! Y’all wish. Who are you to define another person?
And when I took a mixed girl out on a first date, I told her just that. I met her at my niece’s dance recital. Coming off a break-up, not looking for a rebound. She was 6’1 in flats, tall-ass looking like a pretty giraffe grazing the savanna. I didn’t know whether to box her tall ass out for the rebound or ask her number. I did the latter. Her ass was fatter. Not that it matters. The most attractive thing about a woman is not a fat ass, pretty face, thick curves or slim waist. It is her resilient ability to get back up after falling, & push forward.
Not to be forward, but I asked her name, then her number. No need for game. I was enamored, not by her curvy frame. But by the pictures she allowed the brush of my intellect to paint on her canvas brain via her poetic mind. Drawn deeper the abstract thoughts she painted on mine. She was an artist. And they’re sensitive about their shit.
Two weeks later was our first date. I planned the events. Dinner at a Haitian-fusion restaurant, Manje Ayisien, before the concert, Janelle Monáe accompanied by a live Orchestra. I orchestrated hand-holding & arm-wrapping around her waist, but before we could give our Poulet Aux Noix ak bannann peze a taste, the controversial topic of race, came charging out her mouth, slapping me in the face.
“I just love your freckles!” my date complimented.
“Thank you sweetheart,” I smiled, “my niece you saw when we first met always says my face looks like an overly ripe banana.”
“No way,” she laughed, “they’re adorable. oh my God, I used to want freckles so bad when I was growing up. I’d try to draw them on my face with mascara. So, what are you?”
“I’m Black,”I answered, assuming she was referring to my race.
“Really? Are you sure?” She asked, wearing a confused look.
“Well, both my parents are Black and all four of my grandparents are Black too,” I answered. “However, I’m blessed to have been raised in a culture where we learn our true West-African hebrew ancestry. It’s so dope. I get to teach the youngins our langauge every sabbath.”
“That’s so cool you know your culture!” my date affirmed. “I wish I knew mine. I’m just mixed, but my daughter’s father is Black, so I’m always looking to get her into things that help embrace her Black culture too.
“Aren’t you Black?” I asked her.
“I’m only half Black, I’m a mixed girl, remember I told you? Honey you gotta listen,” she joked with a wink. “My mother is from the Dominican Republic and she’s half Greek. My dad is from Haiti and he’s Wolof, with Senegal ancestry. I like how you use the word ancestry, it’s so articulate.”
“Thank you queen,” I said with a slight smile, “but,
mixed people with a Black parent are NOT “half-Black”. They are Black. Fully. Period. By that I only mean, you have just as much right to embrace 100% of every Black culture or white culture you spring from, just as much as someone of your culture who is not mixed. Just because you spring from more than one ancestry, doesn’t make you half off it, half-Black or a fraction White. If you are biracial you are NOT half & half. You are WHOLE & WHOLE. One spirit wrapped in human clothes. The color of a diamond’s wrapping or packaging does not define its worth. You are a diamond spirit.
Your melanin makes you Black but Black is NOT a race, it is a color & a culture-substitute when you don’t know the specific country in the motherland your ancestors came from. #EbrahimAseem Any one who has African blood in them is “Black” only because the first human on earth came from a Black woman’s womb. This is the origin gene.
You don’t have to say you’re full Black, nor pick sides or choose one race to identify. No. Embrace all of you. Every racial ingredient. You are white and black, and blended, and whole, and enough. Just innerstand you partake in a regal ancestry & nucleus all life springs from. Melanin.
Black is a culture-substitute. Nigerian, Jamacian, Ethiopean, etc. are races & ancestries. White is a culture-substitute. French, Italian, German, etc. are races & ancestries. Know your ancestry. Define yourself. Embrace 100% of your cultures with 100% of you, not half of you.
“I needed to hear someone who’s Black tell me that,” my date confessed. “Ever since I was a little girl I was teased. Raised by a D.R. mother who identified as “White”. She didn’t know how to do my curly hair and I was always teased for being different. I was always told I was too light. Not Black enough for the Blacks. Not White enough for the Whites. My daughter is considered “too White” for her father’s family. I just don’t want my daughter to grow up feeling like she doesn’t belong the way I felt.”
“She won’t,” I reassured her. “she has you to teach her the color of her skin does not define her. Thank you for embracing all sides of your ancestry. Never slight any piece that makes up the beautiful work of art you are. #EbrahimAseem If you’re biracial. Own it. Just know you define you, not anyone else. Don’t be afraid to proclaim your own self identity. You don’t have to choose a side. Choose your spirit over your physical form.
Your race or gender does not define you. You define you. You are not a race. You are a spirit wrapped in a box. Who cares what color the box? The treasure inside counts most. Value spirit over body. You don’t have to divide yourself up to fit a category or mold. You are not in a universe, you are a universe. #EbrahimAseem No matter the matter that makes up the beautiful soul you are, you define you, no one else.

Black is not a country. Black is a culture. You can be “half Nigerian” or “Half German” as both are countries, but you can’t be half a culture. You are 100% of ALL your cultures. Embrace each one of your cultures with 100% self love. #EbrahimAseem
All those with melanin & African ancestry share the Black culture. No one has a monopoly on Black culture just, because they’re darker, lighter, or more “hood”.
You’re called Black, because they don’t want you to know The Moors, who conquored Rome, are your ancestors. The Queens & Kings who ruled Kmt. before he was renamed “Eygpt”, are your ancestors. The Olmec who ruled in the Americas centuries before Christopher Columbus ever steped foot there, are your ancestors. #EbrahimAseem The spiritually ascended, divinely favored Hebrews are your ancestors. They ruled the motherland before it was renamed after a Roman General Scorpio Africanus, who massacred women, men & children in Cartigage, for having Melanin. You can label a beautiful flower Black, but it will still grow from concrete, though it’s called by another name, it is still just as sweet.

We ate our Haitian cuisine, snapped a picture of us hugged up together and made our way to the concert. I posted the picture of us on my Facebook, with the caption,
“Men, let’s start taking these loyal women OUT on a planned, paid for date, not just into your bed for sex & Netflix. What makes us a MAN isn’t giving our attention the 100s of pretty girls we see, or to InstaModels in our DM. West African Art. European folklore. Yet, that is only the history of our genes. By all means, we are not our physical form.
